Terms & Conditions

By stepping into our studio — in person or through booking — you enter into these terms with us, a mutual understanding that honours both your sessions and our offering.
1. General Terms
1.1 Application
- These Terms & Conditions apply to all classes, sessions, packages, memberships, workshops and services offered by Terra & Motion.
1.2 Agreement
- By booking or attending any class or session, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 Updates
- Terra & Motion reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website and booking platform.
2. Bookings, Packages & Payments
2.1 Advance Booking & Payment
- All classes, packages and appointments must be booked and paid for in advance via Terra & Motion's online booking system.
- All sessions require advance booking through our online schedule. Walk-ins are not permitted.
2.2 Booking Commitment
- Sessions and packages are non-refundable and non-transferable between clients or package types.
- Sessions may be rescheduled in accordance with our Rescheduling Policy.
2.3 Package Validity
- Packages are valid only for the duration specified at purchase and may not be paused, extended, shared or converted into cash.
2.4 Pricing
- Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and may be amended at any time. Price changes will not affect sessions and packages already purchased.
3. Rescheduling
Please see our full Rescheduling Policy for the complete, detailed guide. In essence:
- Group classes: 24 hours' notice to reschedule
- Private or duo sessions: 24 hours' notice to reschedule
- Each session may be rescheduled up to two times
- Sessions not rescheduled within the required window are forfeited
4. Waitlists
4.1 Joining
- Join the waitlist when a class is full, by sending us a WhatsApp on +27 83 594 0677
4.2 Stepping in
- Should space open, you will be notified up to 2 hours before class begins.
- Once you've booked, our standard Rescheduling policy applies.
- Please watch for notifications — they arrive via email and WhatsApp.
5. Arrival & Studio Flow
5.1 Opening
- Our doors open 15 minutes before each class — time to arrive, breathe, and settle.
5.2 Arriving
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled class — enough time to ground yourself, set up, and begin from presence.
5.3 Beginning
- Classes begin promptly. For safety and flow, late arrivals may not be permitted to join once the session has started.
6. Equipment, Dress Code & Etiquette
6.1 Grip socks
- Grip socks are required — for hygiene, for safety, for connection to the reformer. Available for purchase in studio.
6.2 What to wear
- Whatever gym wear feels comfortable. We suggest avoiding very loose clothing or garments with zips, as they can interrupt the flow on the reformer.
6.3 Equipment
- All reformer equipment is professionally maintained. Clients are required to follow instructor guidance during use.
6.4 Belongings & Studio Etiquette
- Mobile phones must remain on silent during class, creating space for focused and intentional movement.
- Designated storage compartments are provided for shoes and small personal items. All belongings remain the responsibility of the client. The studio accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage.
- We move with respect - towards instructors, staff, equipment, and fellow clients at all times.
7. Changes to Services
7.1 Studio adjustments
- We may change instructors, class times, services, or operations when reasonably necessary.
7.2 Class cancellations
- If we must cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control, we'll notify you and offer a rescheduled session.
8. Privacy & Data
- Your trust is our priority. We collect only essential information. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to South African jurisdiction.
